Biography
Zhou Jianing is a writer and translator who works as textual director of the literary journal Newriting. Born in 1982 in Shanghai, she graduated from Chinese Department of Fudan University. She has published several novels, including Huang Wu Cheng, Mi Lin Zhong (In the Dense Forest), the short story collection Du Zhuan Ji, How I Ruin My Life; and has translated works by Ron Rash (Nothing Gold Can Stay), Joyce Carol Oates (The Corn Maiden and Other Nightmares), Jeanette Winterson (Written on the Body) and Miranda July (No One Belongs Here More Than You) , etc.
