Biography

Snow HUANG is an interdisciplinary art practitioner whose works include theater, contemporary art, sound pieces and music. He founded Against Again Troupe (AAT) in 2002 and has been the group’s artistic director ever since. In recent years, HUANG has performed “sound theater” works across different venues, including Taipei Fine Arts Museum, Performing Arts Meeting in Yokohama, Japan, Vernacular Institute in Mexico, and Site Specific Performance Festival at Prague Quadrennial, in the Czech Republic, using ‘sound’ as a focal point of narrative, and extending Brecht’s concept of ‘dialectical theatre’. In 2020, his White Clear Song was awarded the Annual Grand Prize for the 18th Taishin Arts Awards.
