Biography
San San, born in July 1991, graduated from Renmin University of China with an MFA in Creative Writing. Her works have been published in Harvest, People’s Literature, Flower City, October and many other literary magazines. She has been awarded the 2020 Zhongshan Star Award for Good Works of Young Writers, the 7th Yu Dafu Prize for Short Stories, and the PAGEONE Jury Award, among others. She was also shortlisted for the Chinese Novel Society awards.
San San has published four short story collections, including “Late Spring”, “On the Mountaintop is the Sea”, “Russian Nesting Dolls” and “The Story of a Departed Soul”. Her collection of novels “Late Spring” was shortlisted for Douban’s Chinese Literature of the Year 2023.
