25+10
With the exhibition 25+10, cartoonist and illustrator Rodrigo de Matos celebrates a double anniversary — the newspaper Ponto Final‘s 25th and the 10th year of his own career, which began in 2006 with contributions to the Portuguese weekly Expresso. The show presents 25 of his cartoons published in Ponto Final since 2009, illustrating many of the topics that made the news in Macau over the years. To this selection, the artist has added another 10 works, which he describes as his “best cartoon of the year, one for each year in a decade-long career”, published in either Expresso, Ponto Final or Macau Daily Times, each of them satirising international affairs. The exhibition includes the cartoon that earned Rodrigo de Matos the Press Cartoon Europe Grand Prix in 2014.
