LU WEIPING

Lu Weiping, born in Hong’an City (Hubei Province) in 1965, has been engaged in writing poetry since 1985. He has won many awards, among them the 3rd Chinese Language Poetry Prize for Young Poets, the Beijing Literature Prize, the 1st Su Manshu Poetry Prize, the 9th Guangdong Provincial Lu Xun Literary Prize and the annual Strength Prize at the 1st Du Fu Thatched Cottage Awards (2018). His poems have been included in 200 poetry anthologies, and he has published his own poetry anthologies including A Mouse of Other Place, A Branch Growing Downwards and Secular Life. His poetry has been translated into a number of foreign languages including English, Portuguese, Swedish and Russian. He currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of the Chinese and Western Poetry Journal.
