Biography

Wei-ming was born in 1958 in Shanghai and is currently based in Macau. He is a Doctor in Literature, currently serving as a Senior Researcher and Deputy Director of the Jao Tsung-I Petite École at The University of Hong Kong. He formerly served as an Examiner (Literary Arts & Arts Criticism) and Board Member and Director of the Federation of Hong Kong Writers. He has published a number of modern poetry works such as Black Sands & Waiting, Outside the Bloody Gate: Bloodless Thoughts, Unintentional Insight, The Legends, Self-censorship and Mer sans rivage (Chinese– French). Wei-ming has received various poetry awards including the World Poet Award from United Poets Laureate International (2005) and First Runner-Up (Open Group) at the 3rd Poetry Network Awards (2006).
