José Pacheco Pereira

José Pacheco Pereira is a regular contributor to the Portuguese press and a political pundit on television. He manages the blogs Abrupto, Estudos sobre o Comunismo and Ephemera. He teaches at the University Institute of Lisbon (ISCTE-IUL) and has also been teaching at the Autonomous University of Lisbon. He published several titles, from historical research to chronicle collections and essays. His work of greater scope, in several volumes, is Álvaro Cunhal, uma biografia política, that recently had its fourth volume published. Pacheco Pereira is also a member of the Academy of Sciences, of the General Council of the University of Porto and of the Board of Directors of the Serralves Foundation. He coordinates the Ephemera collection of books, published by Tinta-da-China, from documentation of his own library and personal archive.
