HEIMI

Heimi was born in 1989 in the Southern province of Guangdong. She currently lives in Beijing. She is a picture book writer and illustrator. In 2015 her first picture book ‘Braid’ won the Golden Apple Award at the 25th Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB), Chen Bochui International Children’s Literature Picture Book Award (2016) award and Original Picture Book 2015 TOP10; ‘The Pallas’s Cat Who Wanted Everything’ (2018) won the Golden Pinwheel Grand Award (China). Her art has been shown in China with solo exhibitions in Shanghai and Beijing.
