Cheong Kin Man

Cheong Kin Man, “Story Listener”, was born in Macau in 1987. He worked as a translator and interpreter for the Macau government and studied Visual Anthropology at Freie Universität Berlin, Germany. He produced Macao Water Fountains (2008) based on his eponymous article and went on to create Ou Mun Ian, Macaenses (2009). Five years after the latter was screened in Lisbon for the first time, he made A Useless Fiction for his studies. He has lived in Portugal, Belgium, Germany and Singapore, with a special interest in languages.
